St. Elmo's Fire is a stunning lighthouse commissioned by Jim and Bev Greenwell. Within the towers gothic railing is a phenominal functioning crane with a rotating boom to assist in lifting logs to light the fire to illuminate the way for sailors nearing the vicinity of the lighthouse.

 

Rik and his assistant, Gary Prock, also designed the mounted canon that pivots to shoot in any direction to make a loud boom to be heard in the fog or to warn the sailors of inpending danger. This structure is proudly displayed in the entryway by their towering spiral staircase and is the focal point when entering their home.
